50's Vespa VB1 hire

Built in 1957
Vespa VB1 rental for Vespa Tour in Siena

This 1950s VB1 is one of the older models among the Vespas we offer for hire for weddings and tours between Umbria and Tuscany.

Two small wheels, a thousand great emotions.

Riding this Vespa means driving a piece of history. We are in 1957, eleven years of presentation from the first Vespa prototype (the famous "Paperino") have already passed, so a lot of water has passed under the bridges. The public begins to become more demanding, and the Pontedera house responds with increasingly refined and pleasing models. This VB1 has a displacement of 150 cc and is characterized by the faired handlebar, which houses lights and on-board instrumentation (including speedometer) and which streamlines its line: the fairing allows in fact to keep cables, levers and links hidden.

The saddle is still of the "old type", and can only accommodate the driver. The passenger can sit on a "comfortable foam cushion", as stated in a brochure of the time.

What you need to know before renting this vintage Vespa?

- This and all the other vintage Vespas we offer for hire are fueled by mixture. We are certainly no longer used to respecting the stoichiometric ratio between oil and petrol for the preparation of fuel ... so we will make sure you find this Vespa with a full tank. We take care of refueling at the time of delivery.

- The small wheels and suspension are comfortable, but are not made to deal with unevenness of the road surface at high speed. In case of uncertainty, slow down!

- Vintage Vespas have manual gearboxes: if you want to rent one, we require some experience in its use.

- We provide helmet, maps and travel kit.

- Two people can travel on this vintage Vespa, even if it is not as comfortable as the other wasps equipped with a long seat. It is an ideal vehicle to rent for a Vespa tour with friends in the Tuscan hills!

- Have you thought about renting a vintage Vespa for your wedding day? It is certainly a very original way to get to the altar! Contact us to find out more
